My story
Built from real coaching experience
I started coaching at 16, working in rugby and supporting young athletes across primary and secondary schools. From early on, I was driven by helping people improve — not just in performance, but in confidence, mindset, and understanding.
Over time, I developed experience across schools, college, and education environments, working with a wide range of individuals and challenges. Alongside this, I completed a degree in coaching and later a Master’s in Education, building a strong understanding of how people learn, develop, and perform.
I also competed at a high level, representing Great Britain at junior level in Taekwondo. That experience gave me a real understanding of performance, pressure, and what effective coaching actually looks like from the athlete’s perspective.
From there, I built my own coaching business — working with individuals and groups to improve how they think, communicate, and perform.
One thing became clear: great coaching is not just about what you teach — it’s about how you lead, how you communicate, and how you build confidence in others.
That is why I created ECF Coaching — to help coaches and leaders become more confident, more structured, and more effective in the way they support others.
